In the wake of the 2024 mass uprising, the gaze turns both inward and outward, confronting a newfound realization about one’s community’s identity and its precarious place within a nation’s changing social and political landscape. It is a story of displacement and discovery, weaving together the personal ache of exile with the collective struggle for recognition in a shifting historical moment.

Rana Plaza was an eight-story commercial building on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, where five clothing factories manufactured clothing for major brands around the world. On April 24, 2013, Rana Plaza collapsed, killing 1,132 people and maiming over 2,500 others.
