Bio

Santua Tripura is a multidisciplinary artist from the Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. His creative practice is deeply rooted in the landscapes, oral traditions, and lived experiences of Indigenous communities, exploring themes of cultural memory, identity, resilience, and intergenerational knowledge.

His films “Kalpana…Not Imagination” (2016), “Stranger’s Question” (2020), and “Ubogeet: Unsung Tale and Song” (2024) have been screened in several countries, including Austria, Canada, South Korea, India, and Bangladesh.


He founded and leads Ruwang Collective Arts, a platform collaborating with Indigenous multidisciplinary artists in Bangladesh since 2019.
